Japanese Swordsmanship

About this event

Step back in time with authentic training in Muso Jikiden Eishin-Ryu, a classical Japanese sword tradition dating back over 425 years. Students study traditional techniques, etiquette, terminology, and historical context while developing precise posture, footwork, and sword control. Classes are led by Walt Bushey, a direct student of Sekiguchi Komei, offering rare and authentic instruction in Iaijutsu and Naginatajutsu. Training emphasizes both preservation of tradition and practical application, helping students understand how these timeless techniques translate to modern self-defense, mental discipline, and focused movement. Join us to connect with history and deepen your martial practice.
