- ➤ During Black History Month, Trey Ellis renewed Big E’s BBQ’s legacy at 1801 Buddy Holly Avenue by continuing his father’s 23-year tradition. The restaurant now offers traditional barbecue plus new menu items like nachos and quesadillas while honoring Black entrepreneurship in Lubbock. FOX34
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The 11th annual Lubbock Uncorked festival will take place Saturday, March 28 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the American Windmill Museum, featuring wine tastings, live music, and optional discovery sessions (including board-building and winemaking workshops) for enthusiasts. KFYO

- ➤ Texas Education Freedom Accounts is now open for families to apply for school vouchers that offer about $10,000 per student per year to help cover tuition, transportation and approved expenses (family priority goes to those below the poverty line and with disabilities).
