ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Shallowater ISD boys basketball coach Jay Lusk and his wife and son were injured in a car accident in Eden on Friday night while returning from San Antonio; they were transported to a hospital in San Angelo and are expected to recover.  FOX34

  • Bestselling author Jen Hatmaker is coming to Lubbock next month after releasing her memoir, Awake: A Memoir. She will host an event at Second Baptist Church (6109 Chicago Ave) on Thursday, April 9 with tickets starting at $50.  KCBD
  • New York Times bestselling author Jen Hatmaker will speak on Thursday, April 9 at Second Baptist Church (6109 Chicago Ave) in Lubbock after the release of her memoir Awake: A Memoir. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are $50, with VIP options available.  FOX34

ECONOMY NEWS

  • The USDA forecasts that the ag trade deficit will drop from $50 billion to $29 billion next fiscal year as dairy, ethanol, and corn exports surge. Officials say the shift — with fewer imports and more local production — may help lower grocery prices locally.  KCBD
