  • On Saturday morning, protestors gathered at Tim Cole Memorial near 19th and University in Lubbock to share resources and raise awareness about bullying and mental health issues tied to immigration. The group highlighted the case of 11-year-old Jocelynn Carranza (who took her own life after being bullied) to stress the need for more local support.  FOX34
  • Coronado students and Fuzzy’s Taco Shop on 103rd and Slide raised funds for high school senior Briana Martinez, who was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma last month. The fundraiser was held Saturday afternoon+ the effort will help support her family during her treatment.  FOX34

  • The Texas Department of Transportation warns students that drinking and driving this spring break may lead to jail time and deadly crashes—officials urge safe travel as celebrations begin.  KFYO

  • KCBD is investigating reports that some mothers and newborn babies may have been exposed to measles at UMC Children’s Hospital. The hospital now has a temporary mask mandate in common areas (first and second floors) to help protect patients.  FOX34
