CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A Lubbock man, Michael Kubicek (35), who was arrested in December 2024 for parole violation and a fugitive warrant, faced new charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon after video showed him swinging a shovel at a victim (on the 200 block of Sherman Avenue) on March 15th. - ➤ An explosion and green fires rocked Texas Tech on March 12, causing the campus to shut down and spring break to start early—employees were told to work remotely from March 14 to March 20.
