A fire destroyed two homes and an autobody shop near 98th and Ave P last night — Lubbock Fire Rescue is now investigating the cause.

Four suspects were arrested in New Mexico for a shooting that killed three teens and injured 15 — the Lady Chaps will take on Pittsburg State tonight at 7:30 on ESPN Plus.

31-year-old Curtis Smith pleaded guilty to first degree murder in the 364th District Court and was sentenced to 25 years for fatally shooting 36-year-old Wade Parramore in west Lubbock on August 27, 2020 – he will receive credit for time served.

Dr. Scott Bonn will host a talk called Serial Killers at Buddy Holly Hall’s Crickets Theater on October 26th.

Tickets go on sale Friday, March 28th at 10 a.m.—the talk will cover profiles of infamous serial killers.

Parts of the south and west sides of the Texas Tech campus are facing a power outage as students return after Spring Break following an explosion on March 12.
