  • Lubbock parents have parked in spots reserved for people with disabilities during school pick-up, which makes it hard for those who truly need them. A local parent posted on Facebook this morning (stating that not all disabilities are visible) and urged drivers to follow the rules.  KFYO

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Zoom Physical Therapy and Wellness grew from a small mom and pop shop on Main into multiple locations offering physical therapy, stretching, laser and aquatic treatments — personalized care that helps people move better and feel stronger.  KKAM

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The United Family and Mrs Baird’s Bread announced three winners of the Teachers On The Rise program for March, naming Kacie Cotton from Cathelene Thomas Elementary, Angelica Patiño from Alcove Trails Middle School, and Laurie Villanueva from Levelland High School. Winners received a $100 gift card, lunch for two, and a gift box while nominations continued until May 4.  FOX34

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • Buffalo Springs Lake will host Eggventure at the Oasis on April 20 at 1:00 p.m. for an Easter egg hunt with games, live music and food trucks—admission is $12 for adults and $5 for children.  KFYO
  • On April 3, EverythingLubbock.com asked local viewers to name their favorite burrito spots and many named Burrito King and Asada Mexican Grill. Yesway offered a meal deal—an Allsup’s beef and bean burrito with a 32-ounce Tallsup fountain drink for $1.99—to rewards members.  KLBK

SPORTS NEWS

  • The new $242 million Womble football center now has a barbershop called Uncommon Man with team barber Ivan Ortiz, who offers haircuts every Wednesday and will serve twice a week when the football season begins — Ortiz, who started cutting hair at 13 and built a client base with Texas Tech players, adds a unique service to the facility.  KLBK
