- ➤ South Plains College alumnus Ronny Baccus (a Levelland native) is chief engineer for Artemis II and helped design Orion’s thermal protection system that will be tested during reentry today. The spacecraft is scheduled to splash down off San Diego in the Pacific Ocean around 7 p.m. CT. FOX34
