- ➤ H-E-B donated $100,000 to 10 local nonprofits as it plans to break ground on a new store later this year, with a late 2027 opening. Checks were presented Monday by H-E-B leaders + Mayor McBrayer to mark the community effort. KCBD
- ➤ Texas Tech University will host a public welcome celebration at 12:30 p.m. at Commuter West parking lot C16 next to its University System Building to honor the cheer squads after they swept national titles Friday. KCBD
- ➤ Playhouses dropped off Monday at Market Street (98th and Quaker) are part of a CASA raffle designed to fund volunteer advocates for foster kids. Tickets can be purchased online now while in-person sales run Friday through May 20. FOX34
