Jeremias Chavez, a business admin major (started at SPC in Fall 2024) was named the College President’s Student of the Year and will graduate in 2026; he volunteers in Bible study, coaching, and sports (he plans to study business at Texas Tech) with a focus on aiding Spanish-speaking communities.

Lubbock VFW will host its 3rd annual Ruck for Resilience Run on June 27 at Hebrews Coffee at 8 a.m.; participants can walk, run, or ruck and enjoy live music, guest speakers, food, vendors, and kids activities to raise awareness for mental health (including PTSD and suicide prevention).
