🚧 Accidents
On Wednesday just after 5:15 p.m., Lubbock Fire Rescue responded to a house fire on 70th street that killed one person and three dogs—officials said an improperly discarded cigarette likely started the blaze and urged residents to check their smoke alarms.
🚨 Crime
The Lubbock Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit is asking for help after officers responded at 5:55 p.m. on May 29 to a call on the 3400 block of 23rd Street where they found 33-year-old Roshaud Ward with a gunshot wound—anyone with information is urged to call Crime Line at 806-741-1000.
