- ➤ On Wednesday just after 5:15 p.m., Lubbock Fire Rescue responded to a house fire on 70th street that killed one person and three dogs—officials said an improperly discarded cigarette likely started the blaze and urged residents to check their smoke alarms. KKAM
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ The Lubbock Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit is asking for help after officers responded at 5:55 p.m. on May 29 to a call on the 3400 block of 23rd Street where they found 33-year-old Roshaud Ward with a gunshot wound—anyone with information is urged to call Crime Line at 806-741-1000. KLBK
