CRIME NEWS

- ➤ Texas DPS warned Lubbock residents about scam calls that claim they owe unpaid fines or have active warrants. Officials said government notices will come by mail (requests for gift cards or crypto are clear red flags) and urged people to contact their local license office for valid information. FOX34

HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Former patients from UMC’s Burn Center enjoyed a fun day at Camp Amistad as the camp, in partnership with Lubbock Fire Rescue, provided kids who suffered burn injuries a chance to play and have fun. UMC staff and families said the children loved the slides and dunk tank — the event helped them feel normal after long recoveries. KCBD
