ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Data from the Texas Department of Transportation shows Lubbock recorded 86 collisions with structures in 2024 (1.3% of 6,483 crashes) while there have been 45 such accidents so far in 2025 (1.6% of 2,793 total crashes). KLBK

- ➤ Planet Fitness will begin renovations on the former Big Lots building on 98th Street in mid-July and is expected to finish by mid to late November—covering 31,000 square feet at a cost of $500,000. KLBK

- ➤ William Clark Green started Cotton Fest in 2018 to bring a memorable music festival to Lubbock and will host the event this weekend with performances on Cook’s Garage stage.
