- ➤ TxDOT has initiated a $25.8 million rehab project on US 84 affecting 27 miles in Lamb and Lubbock counties that enforces single-lane traffic and a 65 mph speed limit in work zones; the work began in Lamb County on March 17 and now impacts Lubbock with full completion expected by summer while drivers are urged to allow extra time and use alternate routes (such as Loop 289).
