- ➤ Idalou Harvest Co. hosted its peach festival that drew a larger crowd than expected and is now preparing for a Tomato Festival that will offer exclusive samples in a new wine tasting room and local produce vendors. The Tomato Festival will be held on July 26 at Idalou Harvest Company at 12206 East Highway 62. KLBK
- ➤ Today, Lubbock’s 4th on Broadway celebration begins with a parade at 9:45 a.m. starting at First Baptist Church and heading east along Broadway to the parking lot at South Plains Fairgrounds — live coverage follows at 10:00 a.m. KLBK
- ➤ The Volunteer Center of Lubbock retired its Cornucopia Luncheon and Get Involved Awards after 28 years and will launch new events to celebrate local volunteer work. A social media series named Stories for Good begins in August and a fundraising Pink Tie Gala is set for November—both planned to honor community service. KLBK

- ➤ The Yarny Way is open in Kingsgate South. Owner Marni Reecer said the shop has eight space-themed yarn sections and will offer classes including beginning knitting in October and crochet in September — a new creative hub for fiber artists. KLBK
