Parents across the South Plains now have three new Safe Haven Baby Boxes available for safe surrender as Covenant Health Hospitals installed them at Covenant Children's in Lubbock, Covenant Health in Plainview, and Covenant Hospital.

Each box is climate-controlled and alarm activated—trained caregivers provide prompt care when a box is used.

Lubbock locals are trying low-cost summer hobbies by birdwatching at Lake Landmark — joining free pickleball games on outdoor courts to enjoy more daylight without spending too much.
