CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A grand jury indicted Jeremiah Lawrence, 22, for the murder of Leonardo Pollard after he shot the victim—he was arrested Saturday at 7:28 a.m. in the 1100 block of 6th Street in Lubbock. KLBK
- ➤ Felix Delarosa, a 39-year-old Lubbock man, took a plea deal for a Sept. 18 standoff at a local hotel when officers tried to serve a parole violation warrant and he fired shots, was injured by a SWAT sniper, and had all other charges dropped except for unlawful firearm possession—he now awaits sentencing and faces up to 15 years in prison. - ➤ A study reviewed the fourth-grade school supply list from Cathlene Thomas Elementary in Slaton ISD and compared prices from Walmart, Office Depot and Target—Walmart’s total came in at $67.68, a $24.61 decrease from last year compared to Office Depot’s $89.75 and Target’s $77.74. The analysis showed that price cuts varied among the stores as inflation eased. KLBK
