- ➤ A federal judge in Lubbock sentenced 21-year-old Juelz Armstead to 245 years in prison for extortion and producing child pornography—he was convicted after a four-day trial that showed he used social media to target minors. KCBD
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Lubbock ISD announced that starting this fall, students must keep smart phones, watches, earbuds and other personal devices turned off and out-of-sight during class, lunch and passing periods due to a new state law, House Bill 1481. The district will enforce the rule with consistent discipline while allowing exceptions for students with approved plans, a medical need or school-issued devices. FOX34
