- ➤ On Friday, July 25, LIFE, Inc. will host its Annual ADA Celebration at CenterPointe Event Center to mark 35 years of the Americans with Disabilities Act. - ➤ Lubbock officials and Texas Tech University will host a free Back-2-School Bash on Wednesday, July 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center—over 5,000 K-12 students will get clear backpacks, school supplies, and free haircuts while local groups offer resource support. - ➤ A Lubbock Grand Jury indicted 30-year-old Christopher Medrano on two counts of indecency and sexual contact with a child after children aged 5 and 9 said he forced them to touch him inappropriately—he is held on a $150,000 bond at the Lubbock County Detention Center. KCBD
