- ➤ The Children’s Home of Lubbock reopened the Rogers Library on Friday after a major renovation that transformed an old gym into a modern space with computer labs, a theater room — office spaces and a full book collection for 90 children. - ➤ Rex Davis (31) pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery for his role in a Lubbock game room shooting and was sentenced to 10 years in prison, which includes 371 days jail credit and a $6,806 restitution payment. KLBK

- ➤ Clyde Patterson, diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2021, chose Covenant’s new Deep Brain Stimulation surgery when regular medication did not ease his symptoms—he had the first half in June and got his control device put in this month. Doctors explained that the procedure uses detailed brain scans and patient tests and will need about one year of programming to improve movement. KLBK
