- ➤ Telemundo hosted a Back to School Bash on Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Hall with games, prizes, and free backpacks for local families. The event allowed community members to meet the Telemundo team — reporter Ivan Ponce De Leon said the celebration helped connect with those served by the station. KCBD
- ➤ South Plains Mall in Lubbock is hosting a Give Back for Back-to-School drive to collect uniforms and shoes for students until September 6th — the mall partners with The FOUND Mission to help ensure students have the supplies they need. - ➤ Lubbock golfers played at the Texas 635 Golf Tournament on Saturday to raise money for the families of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.
