- ➤ Covenant’s Joe Arrington Cancer Center in Lubbock became the first in West Texas to offer CAR T-cell therapy — a treatment that uses a patient’s own immune cells to fight cancer — and treated its first patient, Cindy Wagonseller, after her lymphoma returned. She said she feels good and is ready to return to work while she awaits a final scan to check the therapy’s success. FOX34
