Crews battled wildfires in Floyd and Cottle counties on Friday, with the 321-acre Cedar Hill fire nearly contained near FM 97 + the 2,622-acre Grass Burr fire fully contained after starting Thursday; both incidents occurred northeast of Lubbock amid drought conditions.
🏛️ Government
Officials in the City of Lorenzo issued a boil water notice due to a broken main water line and have not set a timetable for lifting the order (residents are advised to boil water until further notice).
