The Volunteer Center of Lubbock is hosting an open house and ribbon-cutting on Thursday, Aug.
27 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at its new location near Broadway and Avenue T to mark its 35th anniversary and introduce its new executive director.
🎓 Education
KAMC's Jen Phillips interviewed education leaders, including State Board Chair Aaron Kinsey and District 7 representative Julie Pickren, to discuss back-to-school challenges and Bluebonnet Learning's role in statewide education.
The conversation also covered the Lubbock ISD Board vote banning several library books and community responses.
