- ➤ Texas Tech University expects a record 10,000 undergraduates this school year—over 7,600 of whom are first-time students—with strong programs, vibrant traditions, and new funding boosting enrollment. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Lubbock City Council approved construction on Downtown Civic Park after fundraising chair Brad Moran announced the nonprofit raised enough of the $12 million budget to start work (plans now exclude splash pads due to high maintenance costs).
