  • LP&L crews are preparing for more severe weather today after a storm Friday night left over 10,000 customers without power — they will deploy crews immediately to fix any damage from the incoming storms.  FOX34
  • More than 10,000 Lubbock customers lost power Friday night when a prolonged storm hit — LP&L crews worked through the morning to restore service. LP&L said crews are ready to respond as new severe weather heads toward the city.  KCBD

CRIME NEWS

  • Texas Tech police reported multiple arrests, citations, and warnings this week for drug possession, DWI, and trespassing — three hazing incidents were reported, including two at Greek Circle and one on campus, and a terroristic threat at the architecture building was found to be false.  The Daily Toreader
