- ➤ The Copper Caboose, a well-known Lubbock restaurant for Monday Night Football and Tex-Mex, suddenly closed when workers found its doors locked and no official reason was given. A source said a full staff change might be behind the closure and the restaurant could reopen soon—leaving many questions among the community. KKAM
- ➤ Lynn Burton is raffling his new painting to honor his late wife Beverly Ann Burton and raise funds for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Association — a project run with Whisperwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The raffle will be held Sept 22 — tickets cost $10 each. KCBD

- ➤ Student Legal Services is hosting a Medical Power of Attorney Workshop from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday at the Student Union Atrium so over 300 students can draft and notarize documents naming a person to make medical decisions—this free event also helps students prepare a HIPAA waiver for extra protection.
