🎓 Education
Levelland ISD held a town hall meeting on Wednesday, Sept.
5 at 6:30 p.m. at its central office (704 11th St) to discuss financial outlook, enrollment trends, state funding and education opportunities; additional meetings are planned for Monday, Sept. 21 and Monday, Oct. 5.
🌲 Environment
Lubbock Arboretum will host its Second Saturday event on Sep.
12 at the Interpretive Center (4111 University Avenue), where John Wallis, Vice President and Texas Master Gardener, will present on tree selection and care; doors open at 9:30 a.m. and the program starts at 10 a.m.
🏈 Sports
Lubbock-Cooper Liberty (2-0) earned KCBD Endzone Team of the Week after defeating the Frenship Tigers (1-1) 44-13 on Friday with a record 11 sacks and 3 turnovers.
The Patriots will host Midland Greenwood next Friday at Patriot Stadium at First United Liberty Park.
Lubbock-Cooper Liberty (2-0) earned KCBD Endzone team of the week honors on Friday after beating Frenship Tigers (1-1) 44-13 and recording 11 sacks.
They will prepare for their home opener against Midland Greenwood next Friday at Patriot Stadium at First United Liberty Park.
