- ➤ Two Lubbock County deputies were hospitalized yesterday after a semitruck struck their patrol unit on Highway 87 while they were helping a stranded motorist—causing heavy traffic delays as emergency crews responded and investigators probed the cause. KFYO
- ➤ On Monday morning, two Lubbock County sheriff’s deputies were seriously injured in a crash with a semi-truck on I-27 at 98th Street — emergency crews transported the deputies and one other injured person to UMC while setting detours for southbound drivers. KCBD
