Youth groups and clubs should contact Ruth Perkins to help set up pumpkin displays that draw over 20,000 visitors each year — a sign that fall is near. KKAM

EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ A new Texas law now requires written parental consent for school services such as nurse visits, counseling and club participation in Lubbock—schools have begun sending out forms at the start of this school year so parents can avoid delays in care. Parents who do not sign the consent form will face delays in receiving routine services except in emergencies. KKAM
