  • Play Street Museum Lubbock announced Monday it will close its doors next month. The museum will remain open until November 16 and will honor all passes and booked birthday parties with extra play sessions added before closing.  FOX34

  • Lubbock National Bank announced it will defer loan payments and waive fees today for federal employees and defense contractors not receiving paychecks during the government shutdown—this relief covers mortgages, installment loans, credit cards and short-term personal loans. The bank will forbear mortgage payments for up to six months—customers are verified individually for eligibility.  FOX34

  • Lubbock officials warned rabies is rising as infected wild animals — especially bats — pose a danger, so residents must vaccinate pets and avoid handling any wild animals.  KKAM
