- ➤ Former Texas Tech law professor Reynaldo 'Rey' Anaya Valencia was invested as the new president and dean of South Texas College of Law Houston on Friday afternoon — the first Hispanic and person of color to hold the post — and he is a Harvard Law School graduate who first taught at Texas Tech at age 25. - ➤ The Texas Tech Alumni Association honored Jim Douglass on Oct. 10 for his over 40 years of service to the alumni network plus his role in growing chapter programs and the Traveling Techsans initiative.
