  • Lubbock’s Veterans Week began with a parade on Saturday morning when the Lubbock chapter of the Military Order of the Purple Heart and Los Hermanos Familia led veterans, families and bands from First Baptist Church on Broadway to the Civic Center—honoring those who served.  FOX34
  • First United Methodist Church served its 32nd annual free Thanksgiving meal to local residents on Saturday while over 100 volunteers prepared and served traditional dishes plus welcomed guests into a warm community gathering. ECONOMY NEWS

  • A report by Talker Research found that nearly 48% of paychecks are spent within 48 hours in Lubbock as residents use their earnings on rent, groceries, and bills—many say daily pay would ease their financial stress.
