- ➤ Families gathered Friday morning at Lubbock Impact to celebrate National Adoption Day as Saint Francis Ministries organized legal ceremonies that finalized adoptions—children received permanent homes while families marked an important milestone. - ➤ A new report from Chime shows that Thanksgiving costs in Lubbock will reach nearly $952, with $293 expected for travel and the rest for food, drinks and holiday supplies – rising prices may force families to adjust their plans for the holiday. KFYO

- ➤ Texas Tech University was named among the top schools for veterans by Military Times for the 13th consecutive year—earning a No. 18 ranking from a survey of 355 colleges—and showing its strong commitment to military students. KCBD
- ➤ South Plains Community Action Association endowed a South Plains College scholarship in honor of the late Joe Dee Brooks—a Levelland native, SPC alumnus, and founder of Allied Oilfield Machine and Pump—recognizing his work that expanded the community service area.
