GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Lubbock firefighters are surveying residents about a plan to change their schedule from a 24/48 shift to a 24/72 shift and add 133 jobs, and more than 86% of 1,500 respondents support the idea. The proposal is expected to give firefighters more rest and improve emergency response—department officials will present it to the fire chief soon. FOX34
