  • Fireworks: 1,200 planned, per the athletic department
  • LED wristbands: 45,000 for fans at general public gates
  • Drone shows: two planned, pregame and after the third quarter

It was the annual blackout game, and fans were encouraged to wear black. Texas Tech also planned to recognize the military ahead of Veterans Day on Nov. 11.

“We bus over for home games whenever we have an evening kick.”

Texas Tech coach Joey McGuire

McGuire said the team would probably arrive at the stadium 10 or 15 minutes earlier, because players like plenty of time before the game.
