  • Lubbock earned its film, music, digital media and tourism-friendly certifications from the State of Texas today—making it one of only two cities to do so—and local leaders say the designations will boost local job opportunities and visitor growth.  FOX34
  • Lubbock letter carriers are set to collect food donations today as part of the National Association of Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive—donations from local post offices will be delivered to the Salvation Army to help restock its nearly empty food pantry.  FOX34
  • Lubbock was certified by the State of Texas as a friendly community for film—music—digital media and tourism, making it one of only two cities to earn the designation. City leaders say the achievement will boost local growth and attract more visitors and professionals.  KCBD
  • A new resource guide in Lubbock lists local organizations that offer meals, housing, clothing, legal and health services for those facing homelessness, addiction and domestic violence.   • Lubbock is set to enjoy Broadway magic today at Buddy Holly Hall as American Theatre Guild launches its Broadway season for 2025 to 2026 with four new local premieres—marking its fifth anniversary. The lineup includes shows such as 'Water for Elephants', 'Mrs. Doubtfire', 'Blue Man Group', 'Hadestown', 'The Music Man' and 'Clue'—with season memberships now on sale.  KKAM
