Idalou Harvest Co. hosted its peach festival that drew a larger crowd than expected and is now preparing for a Tomato Festival that will offer exclusive samples in a new wine tasting room and local produce vendors.

The Tomato Festival will be held on July 26 at Idalou Harvest Company at 12206 East Highway 62.

Today, Lubbock’s 4th on Broadway celebration begins with a parade at 9:45 a.m. starting at First Baptist Church and heading east along Broadway to the parking lot at South Plains Fairgrounds — live coverage follows at 10:00 a.m.

The Volunteer Center of Lubbock retired its Cornucopia Luncheon and Get Involved Awards after 28 years and will launch new events to celebrate local volunteer work.
